Employee Stories

Sinead Rippington, Marketing Executive, Head Office

After graduating from Cambridge with a First in History I entered the world of work wanting to make a difference and enter the Third Sector. After internships at Cancer Research UK and Charity Comms, I moved into a role at the Royal Academy of Arts, where I worked in regular giving, meanwhile volunteering at Rosa, the UK fund for women and girls.

Then came Jewish Care, where I started work as a marketing executive. I’ve been here just over a year and have been involved in supporting the wider fundraising and marketing team, as well as working on projects with different departments. This means that I really get to know the separate teams at Jewish Care, whether working on projects with the volunteers department or assisting with Young Jewish Care events. Over the year, my work has shifted back towards fundraising, working on our appeals and focussing on how best we can reach out to our supporters to raise vital monies.

Aside from the friendly working culture at Jewish Care, I have been encouraged to constantly develop my skillset. I have already been sent on courses at the Media Trust, the Institute of Fundraising, and the NCVO. It’s nice to know that there are always opportunities to learn more, especially when in the early stages of my career!
